Bnei Herzliya and Hapoel Holon continue to prepare for the upcoming season, when tonight (Saturday) the former lost 95:94 in the finals of the Anvil tournament against the host of the tournament, Anvil and Lotzlavek, and the latter succumbed to Metropolitans 92 106:88 in the Pro Stars tournament in Anjou and finished in sixth place.
Oren Aharoni’s team led for most of the minutes of the game and was already ahead by eight points at the end of the third quarter, 63:55, but a good fourth quarter by the Poles led to overtime, in which they won 95:94.
The national champion crashed against the French and their big star, Victor Vombanayama. The one destined to be selected at the top of the 2023 draft in the NBA gave a performance with 34 points and was everywhere on the floor, when Kadji’s 18 points on the other hand were not enough. Holon was in the game for most of the time, when it went into the half with only three behind, but a final quarter in which it lost 34:24 closed the story.
