Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will hold a rally in front of the central office in Nayapaltan of the capital. Acting chairman of the party Tariq Rahman will attend the rally as the chief guest. Preparations for the rally are going on since night, the stage is being prepared.
The rally will start at 2pm on Wednesday (August 7).
The work of making stage by tying bamboo on the street in front of BNP central office is going on. A wooden floor is placed on the bamboo. The place to pull the banner behind is also being prepared with bamboo. Besides, chairs are being brought in pickup vans.
According to a press release of BNP, Acting Chairman of BNP Tariq Rahman will attend the rally as the chief guest. However, the press release did not say whether he will be present virtually or physically.
Even after trying to contact the senior leaders of BNP, they could not get their comments. However, it is thought that Tariq Rahman will speak from a virtual connection.
The notification also said that apart from Tariq Rahman, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and senior leaders of the party will also address the rally. Leaders and activists of BNP and allied organizations along with the general public are called to participate in the rally.
