BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that the interim government’s chief advisor Professor Dr. The BNP delegation did not talk about the election in the meeting with Muhammad Yunus. However, he said that the BNP will give time to the government to create a proper environment for the election and hold the election.

On Monday (August 12) afternoon, the chief adviser of the Interim Government at the Rashtriya Guest House, Yamuna. Top level leaders of BNP led by Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir exchanged views with Yunus.

Mirza Fakhrul said, we did not talk about the election. As I said earlier, it will take some time to create the environment for elections. We are definitely giving them that time. We support them in all matters.

He said, we have said one thing very clearly, so that the people should not be confused by the attempts of instability, attempts to create chaos, and smoke of communalism in the country. So that the people help the government by keeping the religious harmony intact and the security of the people intact. We fully support that.

BNP Secretary General said that the Chief Adviser had invited them for an exchange of views. The fascist government, which kills democracy, has deprived people of their rights by oppressing and torturing people for a long time. He sat down with BNP leaders for the first time after the government took charge in a free environment after getting rid of him through the student movement. They gave their opinion on what can be done in the current situation. The government has also given its opinion.

He said, now I think it is the only duty of every patriot to help the government. Unfortunately, that group, who took away people’s rights, is again from outside, fleeing from here and settling in India, from there they are plotting to thwart the victory of Bangladesh.

Referring to Awami League, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul further said, “Unfortunately, after so many killings and tortures, that party is again saying different things.” He thinks the government needs to take action in this regard. The government needs to talk to all parties, but not to the killer.
