KUTACANE, Waspada.co.id – The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Southeast Aceh Regency (Agara), received a grant for one mobile toilet unit. The grant was obtained from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), last Wednesday (27/3).
Head of Southeast Aceh BPBD, Nazmi Desky, via Waspada Online, Friday (29/3), expressed his infinite gratitude to BNPB for donating one mobile toilet unit to Southeast Aceh district.
“This is a follow-up to the efforts of the Acting Regent of Southeast Aceh. “Some time ago we made a request for proposals,” he said.
He explained that the Acting Regent of Southeast Aceh, Drs. Syakir M.Si, together with himself, immediately took the application proposal to BNPB. “The application was submitted a month ago,” he said.
The advantage of the toilet car, said Nazmi, is that it can be used at evacuation posts to provide toilets for people experiencing disasters. “It can be used to help people when a disaster occurs, especially when handling disaster emergencies,” he said.
“This toilet car will later be used in areas affected by disasters. “This toilet car is also equipped with clean water, a sink, a squat toilet which has 2 separate toilet units,” he explained.
Furthermore, Nazmi said that the Southeast Aceh Government really hoped for this toilet car, especially in facing the North Sumatra-Aceh PON later.
He said that the toilet car could certainly also be used to support the facilities and infrastructure for the White Water Rafting PON which will be held in Southeast Aceh Regency later, he said. (wool/sur/d2)
