BNP’s special message to activists politics

On Sunday (September 8), the party’s national executive committee, chairperson’s adviser and grassroots level have been sent a letter in this regard.

The letter signed by Senior Joint Secretary General of the party, Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, said, ‘This is to inform all concerned including the leaders of Bangladesh Nationalist Party-BNP and all its organs and affiliated organizations that any kind of motorcycle fleet while traveling for organizational work in any unit under your authority. And the procession of any other vehicles including cars should be avoided. All these processions cause terrible disruption to the movement of the common people’s vehicles or pedestrians. The arrival of senior leaders in areas where organizational meetings, workshops or public meetings are held causes heavy traffic jams due to processions and causes extreme suffering to people – which cannot be desirable in any way.’

The letter also said, ‘As BNP is a grassroots political party, the people have been instructed to refrain from motorcades or any other vehicle processions so as not to put people in trouble.’

Party leaders and activists have been told on behalf of BNP, ‘It is already being observed that the leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliates and affiliated organizations are displaying colorful posters, banners and festoons across the country including Dhaka. It is highly visible, unintended and against party discipline. Some of the party’s overzealous leaders are publishing posters with their pictures and hanging festoons and banners. Leaders and activists are also instructed to refrain from displaying such posters, banners, festoons.
