Bob Al Sham team wins the first Baghdad Championship for popular teams

The Bob Al-Sham team won first place in the Baghdad Popular Football Teams Championship, which was organized by the Government Communication Team in the capital.

The Deputy Head of the Government Communication Team, Adnan Al-Arabi, said in an interview with the (INA), “Under the patronage of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Commercial Bank of Iraq, the first Baghdad Championship for Popular Teams was launched with the participation of 88 teams, which were divided into three sections (Rusafa, Karkh and Sadr City), and each district held its competitions separately, and then four teams qualified for the final round of the Baghdad Championship, which lasted 30 days.”
He added, “The tournament took place in different areas of Baghdad,” indicating that “the four teams that qualified were Al-Ma’amel, Bob Al-Sham, Al-Ma’alif, in addition to the Sadr City team.”
He continued: “Today was the final match of the tournament in the presence of members of the Baghdad Provincial Council, in addition to a representative of the Minister of Youth and Sports, and under the direct supervision of the government communication team, head of the committee supervising the tournament, member of the government communication team, Ali Mu’ayyad Muhammad,” noting that the tournament had a large public character.
He stressed that “the Bob Al-Sham team won first place, followed by Sadr City in second place, and Al-Maalif team in third place.”
