TYLER – Folk and rock music icon Bob Dylan is bringing his “Rough and Rowdy Ways” Tour to East Texas, with a limited number of tickets remaining for teh April 29 performance.

The legendary singer-songwriter will perform at the Cowan Center, offering fans a rare possibility to experience his iconic music live.
- Bob Dylan’s “Rough and Rowdy Ways” Tour will stop at the University of Texas at Tyler’s R. Don Cowan Fine and performing Arts Center on Wednesday, april 29, at 8 p.m.
- Tickets are selling quickly and can be purchased online at cowancenter.org.
- The concert will be a phone-free experience, with phones secured in Yondr pouches.

What makes Bob Dylan such an enduring figure in music history? Described as one of the greatest songwriters of all time, Dylan’s influence resonates across generations. His career, spanning almost 70 years, has yielded an estimated 125 million records sold globally. He is a celebrated member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame,and the Songwriters Hall of fame.
In 2008, the Pulitzer Prize jury bestowed upon him a special citation recognizing his profound impact on popular music and American culture. Eight years later, in 2016, he broke new ground as the first musician to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature “for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.”
To enhance the immersive concert experience, the performance will be phone-free. Cell phones, cameras, and recording devices will not be permitted in the performance hall.At the Cowan Center, attendees’ phones will be secured in Yondr pouches, which will be unlocked at the event’s conclusion. “Guests will always maintain possession of their phones and can access them throughout the event at designated ‘Phone Use’ areas in the venue,” explained Ryan Poynter, Cowan Center executive director.”We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping create a truly immersive, phone-free viewing experience that lets the music take center stage.”
