“Bob Marley: One Love”, a life too short in the service of peace

Died of skin cancer at age 36, Bob Marley (1945-1981) became a revolutionary icon, a sort of Rasta Che Guevara. Twelve years later Marleya fascinating and very complete documentary by Kevin McDonald, here is Bob Marley: One Lovea biopic co-produced by Plan B – a production house run by Brad Pitt – and the singer’s heirs via Tuff Gong, the label he himself founded in 1970. We therefore feared the lazy hagiography simply trying to fuel the legend, and fortunately the film is more than that.
