(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 17 – The discos of the past are gone. People dance less and less and look at each other less and less because their eyes are all fixed on their cell phone screens. It’s not just anyone who says this, but an expert in the field, Bob Sinclar who, after a depressing evening in a club in Mykonos, Greece, launches an appeal: “No more cell phones in the disco, otherwise it’s a nightmare”. Thousands of comments of solidarity also with reference to the cult song Love Generation which according to many users has become “Phone Generation”. There are also those who tell him: “Come to Corfu, friend, there’s no signal anywhere here…”. “I feel so depressed. It was the worst concert of my entire career” says a heartbroken Bob Sinclar in a video. “You walk into the club, a wonderful place in Mykonos, wonderful girls, you think it’s going to be a fun night” he says explaining that he put his French Touch to work, then tried Commercial Tech House and other things but there was nothing to be done: “People are standing there with their cell phones in their hands. They’re frozen there filming”. And he confesses: “I’m so depressed. Maybe it’s my fault but I’ve never been so bored, and I wanted to share all of this. Thank you for listening to me”. Luckily, every now and then things get better: “At the Baoli in Cannes – he says in the next video, taken just after waking up straight from bed – I had my revenge, I played what I wanted, without compromises and there were no cell phones, people were dancing and having fun. I filled up on energy”. (ANSA).
