The principle of preservation of dictatorship lies precisely in the dictator’s whim. I am determined to demonstrate the truth of my virtue, above all for the love of the Italian Republic and Democracy”. Maria Rosaria Boccia wrote this in a post on Instagram. “I defend my dignity and honor as a woman and citizen, and therefore I defend my virtue. In the defense of the virtue of the people lies the principle of preservation of the republican state. It is my right to protect the truth of my dignity and honor, stained by the offenses of the Minister of Culture” she wrote in the post in which she relaunches the news of her interview on E’ sempre cartabianca this evening. Despite this, she adds, “I have not yet received an official apology; indeed, I have been threatened with prosecution several times. For this reason, for the love of Democracy and the Republic, I must firmly defend my honorability as a woman and a republican citizen. It is necessary, therefore, that I demonstrate the truth of my offended virtue. I intend to prove that my virtue has been brutally offended in front of the world and that – she continues – the role of Advisor to the Minister, which I performed, was taken away from me unjustly, tearing up the ministerial decree of appointment on the whim of a woman”.
