Following the withdrawal of Russian troops from the Ukrainian capital Kiev, Ukrainian police and army are conducting intensive search operations there.
The bodies of many innocent civilians are being recovered en masse. The bodies of more than 900 people, including 30 children, have been recovered so far, according to Kiev Regional Police Chief Andrei Nepidov.
He said the bodies, which were found in streets and makeshift graves, contained gunshot wounds.
He accused the Russian military of forcing people to stand in the streets and shoot them.
Hundreds of bodies have already been found in the city of Pucha, and the fact that more bodies are now being found in Kiev has come as a shock to Ukraine.
