The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation reported the discovery of the bodies of nine victims, one body was identified.

The An-26 aircraft, which was flying from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to the village of Palana, crashed on the afternoon of July 6. According to one of the versions, the cause of the crash could be a piloting error in poor visibility conditions. The wreckage of the plane was found near the village and in the Sea of Okhotsk.
On board the An-26 there were 28 people – 22 passengers and six crew members. According to preliminary data, they all died. A three-day mourning period has been declared in the region. The families of the victims will receive compensation in the amount of over 3.5 million rubles.
