Relationality, i.e. the relational, is the overarching theme of the MaerzMusik festival, which begins today. According to the Berliner Festspiele, new forms of relating to each other should be sought. Isn’t that what every art form is about, more or less? The topic specification seems somewhat arbitrary, but in times when, on the one hand, we are slowly returning to old forms of social communication after two years of relationship-inhibiting and also changing, and on the other hand, international political relations are changing dramatically, the motto of the series seems to be in many different ways connectable.
