An accident occurred where a Delta Air Lines Boeing passenger plane was preparing to take off at Atlanta International Airport in the United States and had to return due to engine failure.

According to foreign media such as the UK’s Daily Mail and the US CBS News on the 12th, an accident occurred at around 9:10 am on the 10th (local time) at Atlanta International Airport where a flight from Atlanta to Minneapolis, Minnesota suffered an engine failure and had to cancel takeoff.

The plane where the accident occurred was a Boeing 757-300. At the time of the accident, 201 passengers, 5 crew members, and 2 pilots on the plane escaped using an emergency slide and were evacuated to the airport building.

In this accident, 4 out of 201 passengers were injured and 1 person was transported to a nearby hospital. According to authorities, all of the injured suffered minor, but not serious, injuries. The cause of the accident was not revealed.

Delta Air Lines released an official statement immediately after the accident and said, “We apologize to all passengers who experienced the inconvenience, and we will quickly come up with other ways to safely reach their destinations.”

Meanwhile, this is not the first accident that occurred on a Delta Air Lines Boeing passenger plane. Boeing airliners have recently suffered major and minor accidents due to airframe defects such as engine failure.
