The first test flight of the Boeing CST-100 Starliner manned spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS) has been postponed until mid-April 2024. About this reported journalist Chris Bergin on his social network account X (formerly Twitter).

As part of the mission, NASA astronauts and test pilots Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams will fly a demonstration flight that will test the full capabilities of the Starliner system.

Starliner will lift off on a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral in Florida, spend about eight days docking with the space station, and return to Earth using a parachute and air cushions in the western desert.

The main objective of the mission is to test the ship’s ability to transport crews to the space station and return them to Earth.

In 2019, the Starliner spacecraft was unable to dock with the ISS because it used too much fuel. Starliner was successfully launched on December 20 from Cape Canaveral Space Center in Florida. But an hour later, Boeing and NASA reported an emergency situation: the ship was unable to enter the intended orbit.
