According to Indian media reports, on August 9, a 31-year-old trainee doctor was killed after being raped at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, after which doctors and paramedical staff in India are on strike. Civil society is also protesting, now Bollywood artists have also spoken against this incident.
Famous actress Alia Bhatt wrote in an Instagram post that another rape, another day when women realize that women are not safe at all, another horrible act, even after a decade we are reminded that nothing has changed. It didn’t happen.
In her post, Alia Bhatt shared the statistics regarding the rape of women in India and said that 30% of doctors and 80% of nursing staff in India are women.
