Tarcísio next to Bolsonaro
Former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) posted this Sunday (9) a story on his Instagram profile and tagged the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicanos-SP), in which he recalled duplication works in BR- 386/RS. In the image, the captain of the reserve put the caption “our management”.
Bolsonaro’s position comes days after he fell out with his former minister. The former head of the Federal Executive was against the approval of the tax reform, while Tarcísio gave a press conference alongside Fernando Haddad (PT-SP), Minister of Finance, defending the proposal.
On Thursday (6), at a meeting of the PL bench in Brasília, Freitas was publicly criticized by the former president and ended up being harassed by Bolsonaristas who were present at the meeting. On social media, the governor came to be called a “traitor”.
With the confusion, Bolsonaro called Tarcísio and minimized the conflict. The two met today and put an end to the fight.
Today, the governor even said that “it is not possible to agree with everything”, but promised to “always be loyal” to the former president.
“(The conversation with Bolsonaro) was excellent. The president is a great friend. Note, people may differ at some point about the reform. It’s normal. It is not possible to agree on everything. It was like that when he was a minister. There were situations where I disagreed with him. I tried to advise in the most respectful way. I’ve always had a very strong loyalty. The points I had made about the renovation, I had already made it to him before. And everything is fine. I will always be loyal and grateful to the President,” he declared.
