BOLZANO. After a citizen reported the presence of alleged drug dealers in the Capuchin Park in Bolzano the Police Headquarters identified and sanctioned eight foreign citizens. One of them, a 30-year-old Somali citizen without a fixed abode and in compliance with his residence permit, was found in possession of approximately 11 grams of hashish. The other 7, all of Nigerian and Gambian origin, legal in the national territory and with various criminal records against them, were removed from the area.

The commissioner Paolo Sartori has initiated the process for all those involved aimed at revoking the residence permit in order to subsequently be able to issue as many expulsion decrees from the national territory, but, in the meantime, it has also ordered the prohibition of access to areas of the urban center of the capital. «Systematic control of the areas where individuals engaged in illicit behavior are usually found in certain areas of the city is absolutely necessary to prevent and contain those deviant phenomena and delinquent manifestations which clearly affect the safety of citizens», highlighted Sartori.
