BOLZANO. The Carabinieri are there. Following the numerous reports received regarding a situation of degradation in Alto Adige Street and in the adjacent internal courtyard, the Carabinieri Company Command of Bolzano communicates that significant interventions have been adopted to address and combat the phenomena of degradation and the presence of homeless people in the area. The Command has promptly intensified controls with an increase in foot and presence services, strengthening monitoring activities through high-impact operations. These measures have been implemented in response to concerns expressed by citizens and to ensure a safer and more livable environment. In recent months, the Carabinieri have recorded a total of 28 passages in the area of via Alto Adige, with 2 specific interventions requested for reports of drug dealing of narcotic substances. These interventions were part of a broader surveillance context, which also includes other areas of the city affected by similar problems, such as the Galleria Orazio and the area in front of the civil motorization office on Via Gobetti.
The Command has already started aintensification of presence in the area since the beginning of the summer season and has further increases in supervision expected with foot patrols, in consideration of future events that will involve vehicles and demonstrations such as “Bolzano Danza” and “Veteran Car”.
The presence of homeless people in the areas of the city, including that of Via Alto Adige, is actively monitored by the Carabinieri Company Command of Bolzano, which has adopted adequate measures to manage and contain the phenomenon.
