BOLZANO. In the last period, there have been several interventions by the Carabinieri related to car thefts: five alleged perpetrators of various crimes, including a man who in May was allegedly responsible for stealing 14 thousand euros – always from a parked car.
The record theft by the man from Bolzano happened in via Riva del Garda: he broke the window of the Ford Transit, the target of the operation, and stole a backpack, inside which was the loot.
During the investigations, this morning – Monday 22 July, the officers managed to locate and report the suspected thief: the legitimate owner of the money, an entrepreneur from Laives, wanted to use it to purchase a fruit and vegetable shop, according to a press release from the Carabinieri.
Other interventions
Last week, the Carabinieri had stopped 4 more men – among the reasons was another case of car theft. One of these, a Moroccan resident of Salorno, had been reported for aggravated theft and unauthorized use of bank cards. The man allegedly stole a debit card from a car and then used it, clearly, to pay illegally.
Another man, also of Moroccan citizenship, allegedly violated the imposition dictated by the expulsion order: while he was walking in Via Buozzi, also in Bolzano, there was a check by the Carabinieri: in June he had been banned from residing in Bolzano for four years.
Two drug-related reports
The agents also discovered two drug-related crimes: a Moroccan was caught at the Bolzano train station with about 14 grams of hashish. The drugs were seized and the man was reported. In the same area a twin operation: a man from Ostuni was caught with about ten grams of hashish, he too was reported.
