On the program of this social comedy, an improbable encounter which will force the protagonists to evolve their points of view and their preconceptions about each other.
This Monday, February 26 at 9:10 p.m., TF1 broadcasts “The Nanny”, a TV film which plays on the register of difference and tolerance. In the casting, only beautiful people (Florent Peyre, Gérémy Crédeville, Issa Doumbia…) and in the main role Booder who is also the originator of the idea for the screenplay.
Booder therefore plays Samir, an eternal 40 year old teenager who still lives with his mother in the neighborhood where he grew up. He coaches the children’s soccer team there. It’s his only activity and it suits him perfectly, he who doesn’t need much to be happy, much to the chagrin of Malika, the mother.
His life will change the day Malika is hospitalized and asks him to replace her at short notice in her job as… nanny! Samir then finds himself in the chic suburbs with the Berthiers, a bobo family for whom his mother has worked for over 10 years. He will discover the parents of Luna and Lucien, two men, something his mother had never told him. For the Berthier family it is also a shock of cultures, their well-oiled daily life will be turned upside down by Samir’s very improvised and quite personal “methods”.
In “The Nanny”, many universal topics are discussed such as sexual difference or adoption. “I wanted to be as true as possible without going into too much detail because it is above all a comedy or accentuating prejudices.”.
Also among the themes, school bullying, an important subject for Booder even if he himself never experienced one itself. “I have been endowed by nature with this verbal joust, in this way of making people laugh, of simply being a winnower. And when people winnowed me, behind me I winnowed for an hour, so obviously I was the guy not to attack. But I do it for all these young people who don’t have not have the strength to be able to defend yourself and for whom school becomes a nightmare. These are the people I talk to when I talk about school bullying”.
