Book Fair 2023 ｜The 33rd “Hong Kong Book Fair” hosted by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council will be held in the president from July 19 to 25. The theme of this year’s book fair is “Children’s and Youth Literature”, and the theme of “Reading the World from Hong Kong: Children’s Joyful Reading in Teenagers” is an opportunity to share with book lovers the background and interest of children’s and youth literature. The “Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo” and “Snack World” were also held at the same venue. The three major exhibitions attracted nearly 780 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions.
This year’s book fair focuses on promoting “Children and Youth Literature”, hoping to encourage young readers to develop imagination and creativity through reading, and stimulate interest in literature. This year’s exhibition will feature 9 writers of children’s and youth literature, including Anong, He Zi (deceased), Junbi (deceased), Zhou Mimi, Liang Wangfeng, Wei Ya, Sun Huiling, Pan Mingzhu and Pan Jinying. The “Literary Gallery” will set up a special area to display precious collections of writers, including out-of-print works, autographed manuscripts, rare photos, work concept sketches and other precious manuscripts, objects and books.

This year’s book fair has added an “International Culture and Art Gallery”, which is curated by famous Hong Kong designers, around the annual theme, and displays literature, culture and art exhibits from nearly 30 countries and regions in a vivid form. The exhibition area displays children’s literature, culture and art exhibits from more than 25 countries and regions in a variety of ways, and also exhibits the award-winning books of the 4th Hong Kong Publishing Biennial Awards in the categories of “Children and Youth” and “Art and Design” , as well as the works of local illustrators, there are also workshops for the public to experience artistic and cultural creations.

The Sports and Leisure Expo will gather a variety of sports and leisure products and experiences this year. The eight themed areas include “Sports Base Camp”, “Outdoor Experience”, “Health‧Fitness”, “Study World”, “Endless Chess Fun”, and “Photography World” , “Japan Pavilion” and “Handmade Market”. Snack World collects more than 1,200 popular snacks, which are distributed in six themed areas: “Global Snacks”, “Chocolate and Candy Factory”, “Nostalgic Snacks”, “Healthy Taste”, “Party Time” and “Snack Bar”. There is a food tasting session for visitors to choose their favorites and participate in exciting activities.
The Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo brings together a variety of sports and leisure products and experiences, and there are also a number of free trial activities on site. “Snack World” collects special snacks and popular snacks from all over the world, allowing visitors to take a journey of taste experience in different places.

Fare Concessions for Persons with Disabilities:
People with disabilities can purchase admission tickets for HK$10 upon presentation of the “Registration Card for Persons with Disabilities” issued by the Labor and Welfare Bureau.
Entry in the morning:
Before 12:00 noon, you can buy tickets for HK$10. Tickets are only available for instant payment with Octopus (same price for adults and children)
Visitors to Hong Kong:
Visitors to Hong Kong can go to the ticket office located in the front hall of the conference hall of the exhibition venue and present their valid travel documents to buy admission tickets for HK$20. Tickets are also available on Alipay.
Super fan card: $88
Holders of this card can enter the venue unlimited times during the book fair, and can also use special passages to enter the venue to save waiting time.
