Forty years of Guillaume Faye’s writings “in defense of European Civilization”. Adriano Scianca has collected them in “Gods and power. Texts and interviews for the European reconquest (1979-2019) “, recently arrived in the bookshop for Altaforte, with an introductory essay by Scianca himself that allows you to better understand the current events of the French writer who died in 2019.
In the excerpts, a journey into the thought of the former enfant terrible of the French New Right who created the concept of archeofuturism, themes ranging from the reinterpretation of European paganism to the deconstruction of Western domination are addressed: on each topic Faye presents an original, irreverent analysis , full of stimuli and provocations. Scrolling through the articles, we also witness the evolution of the writer’s thought, for example on the migration and Islamic issue: from the Euro-Arab alliance proposed in the early 1980s to the denunciation of the Muslim colonization of our societies in the new century. All this, explains Scianca, always starting from a fixed point, never abandoned: fidelity to Europe and its secret spirituality.
