BOOST/Northern Region Program: More than 170 young job seekers supported towards sustainable integration

With an initial objective of training 160 young people, the BOOST program was able to develop an ecosystem of committed actors in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, who supported the project by allowing young job seekers in the region to acquire the most demanded skills, thus strengthening their employability, indicates a joint press release from EFE Morocco and MEPI.

This is how nearly 170 young people were able to benefit from training in soft skills, digital marketing, QHSE and others, notes the same source, noting that more than 120 of them were successfully integrated into the market. of work, 58% of whom are young women.

Beyond training and placement, BOOST is a program which also emphasizes the sustainability of the approach with monitoring of the retention of jobs secured by this initiative, in addition to close monitoring of the winners of the program and proactive listening to the needs of the program’s partner employers.

This ceremony was an opportunity to congratulate the winners of the program, in the presence of the program’s employer and institutional partners as well as the representative of the United States Embassy.

It also allowed each actor in the project to share their experience and look back on the highlights of these 18 months of partnerships, but also to present training certificates to the last 20 winners of the program who benefited from 3 weeks of free training. in soft skills and digital marketing, thus preparing them for a successful professional career.

“With our partner MEPI, this is the first time that we have collaborated together on a project covering the northern region of the Kingdom, but this is our fourth joint project at the national level. We are proud of this renewed collaboration over the years which denotes the confidence of our partner in our approach, which honors us, but also the desire of MEPI to help us intervene where the recruitment need is present”, underlined the general director of EFE-Maroc, Houda Barakate, quoted in the press release, adding: “we value this agility which makes such impact possible”.

“Through this program, we wanted to provide the Offshoring sector with the necessary support to find the qualified human resources necessary for its development, and at the same time support the sustainable integration of young job seekers in the Tangier- Tetouan-Al Hoceima”, indicated, for his part, Ahlam Sabrani, Program and Grants management specialist within MEPI.

“We are delighted with our fourth partnership with EFE-Morocco and happy to see the success of the program with more than 130 young people in care,” she continued.

It should be noted that the United States Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) Program supports partnerships between citizens, non-governmental organizations, the private sector and government institutions, in order to promote common and shared solutions for the populations of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), with the aim of promoting stability and prosperity in the region.
