Bopanna became the oldest player to win the ATP Masters

Arizona (US): India’s Rohan Bopanna became the oldest player to win an ATP Masters 1000 tennis tournament title. The 43-year-old Bopanna defeated top seeds Wesley Koolhoff (Denmark) and Neil Skupski (Britain) 6-3, 2-6, 10-8 in the Indian Wells Open Men’s Doubles.

Canada’s Daniel Nestor won the title at the age of 42 at the 2015 Cincinnati Masters. Bopanna has won 24 ATP doubles titles. Two were won in 2015 with Nestor as a partner. Bopanna said that Nestor is a close friend and he texted him about the record breaking news.
