(ANSA) – PRECENICCO, 07 SEPTEMBER – A blue ribbon in Precenicco at the Civic Center, for the birth of the 12th community diabetes Info-point, a free information service intended for everyone and in particular for people with diabetes and their families.
The desk will be open from October with two monthly appointments on the mornings of the first and third Saturdays.
“Preventing diabetes is essential to maintain a good quality of life and reduce the risk of serious complications related to the disease. If we consider that 90 thousand people in the region suffer from this disease, we understand how precious prevention is and also passes through information and awareness: monitoring one’s health, having regular check-ups and knowing the risk factors are essential steps to intervene in time. This shows the importance of the action of the volunteers of the association Famiglie Diabetici della Bassa Friulana, whom I thank on behalf of the Regional Council for their great commitment and generosity”. This was stated by the president of the Regional Legislative Assembly, Mauro Bordin, who spoke with his colleagues Mauro Di Bert and Roberto Novelli at the inauguration.
Bordin applauded “the project linked to a detailed information campaign that aims to implement primary prevention directly on the territory, guaranteeing support and assistance. The citizens of every municipality on the Friulian Riviera will soon be able to use the service free of charge”. For Bordin it is “fundamental that the institutions support social volunteer initiatives that represent an essential pillar for the well-being of the communities. By collaborating together we can build a stronger solidarity network, capable of responding to the needs of the territory and promoting a better society”.
At the inauguration, in addition to the regional health councilor Riccardo Riccardi, there were also the president of the association Famiglie Diabetici Bassa Friulana, Dario Andrian, the mayor of Precenicco, Andrea De Nicolò and the president of Federsanità Anci Fvg, Giuseppe Napoli. (ANSA).
