London: Boris Becker has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison.
Former German tennis player Boris Becker, 54, has been sentenced to two years in prison for tax evasion in 2002. Then it was put on hold.

Currently living in London. Becker declared bankruptcy in 2017. He was charged with 20 counts of concealing and defrauding his property. The case is being heard in Southwark Crown Court.

Judgment was rendered in the case yesterday. Becker, who was convicted on four counts, was sentenced to two and a half years in prison. Becker faces up to half a day in prison because of his bankruptcy.
