An agreement with them is not worth the paper it is signed on, said the MP from PP
It’s high time Boyko Borisov stopped hiding in the bushes.
This was called for in the parliament by the co-chairman of the PP Asen Vassilev.
He appealed to GERB in the remaining days of the parliament to adopt the laws under the recovery plan – the three anti-corruption laws. Otherwise, the leader of GERB should come out and say: These laws worry us that if they are adopted, we will be caught for corruption. Or to say that it is really for the European development of Bulgaria and we will adopt these laws.
One law is the one on whistleblowing, which was adopted, but GERB added an amendment that if the whistleblower was filed for a violation committed before 2021, there would be no protection. The restriction must be removed and the whistleblower must be protected.
The PP want to pass the transparent rules for electing the chairman of the anti-corruption commission. That a match is not arranged, but that civil organizations can also have a hearing, a real competitive process for this post.
When asked whether an ombudsman should not have been elected first to fill the nomination board, Vassilev said: “We will fill it. The procedure has not yet started, how many months have been wasted?”
The third law is that of personal bankruptcy.
With these laws, according to Vassilev, the money for high-speed trains, helicopters, offices in schools will be unblocked. Finally, the 12 billion that we are waiting for to come, and not for GERB to block them, because they are afraid and hide in all kinds of bushes, villages and palanquins, he added.
The three laws sit between us and the second payment on the recovery plan. They were brought in October of this year, then on the first day of the 50th National Assembly, but they sit and age in business and the Speaker of the Parliament from GERB does not move them.
Vassilev also rejected Boyko Borisov’s desire for a “gentleman’s agreement” for management. “GERB change their minds 3 times a day. An agreement with them is not worth the paper it is signed on. Actions are needed,” said the MP from PP-DB.
