Asides before the big negotiation. Élisabeth Borne will meet in turn, during the week of October 9, the trade union and employer organizations ahead of the promised “social conference”, particularly on low wages, which will take place on October 16.

For these preparatory meetings, the Prime Minister invited, on the union side, the CFDT, the CGT, FO, the CFE-CGC, the CFTC, the Unsa and Solidaires. On the employers’ side, Medef, CPME, U2P, Fnsea (main agricultural union), Fesac (Federation of performing arts, music, audiovisual and cinema companies), and ‘Udes (Union of employers in the social and solidarity economy).

Chaired by Élisabeth Borne, the social conference will be held over a full day on October 16 at the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (Cessation) in Paris, with a plenary session in the morning, workshops in the afternoon and a closing plenary.

Minimum salaries and short contracts
