In addition, a wishing lantern hanging event will be held at Fountain Square from December 30th to 31st, where participants can hang wishing lanterns and make wishes for the new year.

Next, the 2025 sunrise event will be held at the Seongju Mountain sunrise observatory on January 1 from 6:50 to 8 a.m. On this day, △Nongak play with fire lighting, △Lighting of candles for wishes, △New Year’s message and three cheers, △Writing wish message cards, △Wishing for New Year’s wishes, △Congratulatory performance, and △Performance commemorating the Visit Chungcheongnam Year.

In particular, unlike the previous year, we plan to take the lead in protecting the environment by changing the lighting of candles to using mobile phone flashlights and replacing blowing up balloons with writing wish cards.

Mayor Kim Dong-il said, “This event was prepared to share precious time with citizens as they end the year and welcome the new year. I hope many people will participate and have a meaningful time.”

Meanwhile, Boryeong City announced at the mayor’s office on the 26th that it signed a consignment contract for the public Myeongcheon, Dongdae, and Woongcheon shared care centers in the presence of Mayor Kim Dong-il and Park Se-young, CEO of Boryeong Good Neighbors.

On this day, an office consignment was signed with Boryeong Good Neighbors, which was selected through a public recruitment and trustee selection deliberation committee last month. According to this agreement, Boryeong Good Neighbors, Inc. will operate from January 2025 to December 2029. He will be in charge of overall facility management and operation of the Together Care Center (3 locations) for 5 years.

The Together Care Project is a project to eliminate blind spots in care and reduce the burden of childcare on dual-income families by providing care services such as full-time and temporary care and after-school programs to children aged 6 to 12 (elementary school students) who need care.

The Together Care Center performs tasks such as linking and providing educational, cultural, artistic, and physical programs, including experiential activities, and operates from 13:00 to 20:00 during the semester and from 9:00 to 18:00 during vacation.

Mayor Kim Dong-il said, “We will make active efforts to establish a region-centered care system and eliminate blind spots in elementary care in response to the increase in dual-income families,” and added, “I hope that children will be provided with a variety of care services in a safe and comfortable care space.”
