Boryeong City runs ‘OK Boryeong Smile Day’ on the fourth Tuesday of every month on the way to work. On the 23rd, Boryeong City launched the ‘OK Boryeong Smile Day’ campaign to encourage all city hall employees on their way to work to make smiling a day.
On March 13, the city held a resolution meeting to share the 10-year achievements of the “Smile, Kindness, Cleanliness, and Praise” pan-citizen movement, provide friendly education to public officials, and pledge to take action for a leap forward, with about 500 employees in attendance.
Accordingly, as a city public official, we took the lead in practicing ‘making Smiling Day a part of our daily lives’ and launched the OK Boryeong Smile Day Campaign utilizing the commuting hours of city hall employees to deliver messages of support and encouragement to their tiring daily lives, such as responding to civil complaints and promoting work. .
On this day, the campaign was hosted by the Saemaul Community Department and used promotional items such as wearing a ‘smile, kindness, cleanliness, and praise’ character mask and wearing a shoulder belt, and created character pickets with the meaning of laughter and courage. A unique scene was created by greeting people with bright smiles and touching palms.
This OK Boryeong smile day is ▲Monday is the day to smile naturally ▲Tuesday is the day to smile brightly ▲Wednesday is the day to smile plainly ▲Thursday is the day to laugh loudly ▲Friday is the day to laugh quickly and laugh again ▲Saturday is the day to smile plumply like a rabbit ▲Sunday is a day to laugh and see, and it contains the meaning that if you smile, happiness will come every day.
Mayor Kim Dong-il said, “A sincere smile has positive health effects such as increasing lung capacity, reducing depression, improving immunity, lowering blood pressure, relieving pain, exercising muscles, improving diet, improving digestive function, and extending lifespan.” “From now on, we will be smiling and happy all week long, and I hope that the good energy will spread to our Boryeong citizens,” he said.
