Boseong-gun is accelerating the construction project of Boseong-eup Complex Community Center, which is being promoted to expand cultural and leisure facilities and breathe new life into the daily lives of the residents.
The Boseong-eup Community Center, scheduled for completion in July 2025, will be built with a total project cost of 41 billion won, with 2 underground floors and 6 above-ground floors, and a total floor area of 15,950 m2.
Major facilities include a sports facility with a bowling alley, roller skating rink, and smart sports facilities, cultural facilities such as a small library, permanent exhibition hall, and small performance hall, and a family center with a kids’ cafe, a communal childcare sharing center, a counseling room, and an education center.
In addition, there will be shared offices, shared kitchens, club rooms, and other resident living facilities, as well as public office spaces such as the Dream Start Center, which supports after-school learning, Boseong County Council, facility management office, and waterworks office.
In addition, Boseong-gun is promoting a road expansion project for the access section with the goal of completion in July 2025 when the Boseong-eup Complex Community Center is completed in order to improve the traffic environment at the intersection in front of the county office, where traffic congestion is usually severe.
The plan is to expand the approximately 50m section of two-lane road from the intersection in front of the county office to the ING advertising office into a four-lane road with a width of 19.5m to improve the flow of right-turning vehicles and promote pedestrian convenience.
Governor Kim Cheol-woo said, “There has been inconvenience to the residents due to the chronic traffic congestion at the intersection in front of the county office, but we will improve the access road in time for the completion of the Boseong-eup Complex Community Center to create a smooth and safe traffic environment and a convenient pedestrian environment.”
