In the second race, Bots/Plume improved their performance, which allowed them to move up to second place. The advantage of Wendl/Arlt in the second race was within one tenth of a second, with the Germans holding the first place. Šević-Mikelšević/Babris showed the 14th result in the second race.

Bott/Plume have accumulated 316 points in the overall standings and are the leaders, but the Germans Toni Eggert/Florian Müller, who were fifth on Saturday, have 21 points less. Wendl/Arlts scored another five points less.

On Saturday in Sigulda, Marta Robežniece/Kitija Bogdanova took third place in the fourth stage of the Luge World Cup, while Anda Upīte/Zane Kaluma were fifth.

In the competition of ten crews, the Austrians Selina Egle/Lara Kip won, Shevonna Forgan/Sofia Kirkby lost 0.116 seconds in the sum of two races, but Robežniece/Bogdanova was 0.411 seconds behind. Upīte/Kaluma lost 0.743 seconds to the winners.

In the first run, Egle/Kipa were the fastest, who covered the track in 42.297 seconds. Vice-leaders Robežniece/Bogdanova lost 0.111 seconds, while Upīte/Kaluma were 0.422 seconds behind and were in fifth position.

In the second race, Forgan/Kirkby won, displacing Robežnieci/Bogdanova, who made a small mistake, to third place overall. Both Latvian crews had the fifth and sixth results in the race.

The women’s singles competition will also take place on Saturday.

In the 2024/2025 season, the World Cup stages will still take place in Germany, South Korea and China. The fifth stage of the competition will take place on January 11 and 12 at the German track in Altenberg, and the sixth stage on January 18 and 19 – at another German track in Winterberg, and at the same time there will be the European Championship. On the other hand, the world championship will take place on the Whistler track in Canada from February 6 to 8.
