A fatal accident occurred on Thursday afternoon on road number 7207, between Berhida and Pétfürdő.
According to the Veszprém County Police Headquarters, a 43-year-old resident of Várpalota crossed into the other traffic lane for reasons that have not yet been clarified and collided with an oncoming car driven by a 39-year-old man.
As a result of the accident, the drivers of both vehicles died on the spot. A young pregnant woman was sitting next to the 39-year-old driver, and the ambulance took her to the hospital due to her injuries.
A complete road closure is in place for the duration of the investigation and technical rescue, and the police are diverting traffic from both directions.
