Boulaye Dia to Lazio: a new reinforcement for the Biancoceleste attack – Lazio Family

by time news

Lazio is close to concluding an important market operation with the purchase of Boulaye Dia, a French-Senegalese striker currently playing for Salernitana. The deal, now in its final details, includes a loan with an obligation to buy set at around 10 million euros plus bonuses.

A Prominent Profile

Boulaye Dia, born in 1997, showed his talent during the 2022/2023 season with Salernitana, scoring 16 goals in 33 games. Despite a less brilliant subsequent season due to injuries and problems with the club, his qualities of speed, progression and ability to attack the depth make him an ideal reinforcement for the Lazio attack.

Operation Details

The agreement between Lazio and Salernitana includes a loan with an obligation to buy for 10 million euros plus bonuses, with a four-year contract for the player, who will earn around 2 million euros per season. Lazio hopes to have Dia available for the first matchday of the championship against Venezia.

Impact on the Team

With the arrival of Dia, coach Marco Baroni will have a forward with great potential, who will compete for a starting spot with Castellanos. This purchase is a response to the requests of the coach, who needed a further reinforcement up front after having locked down the Argentine.
