While ‘Stree 2’, released on the occasion of Independence Day 2024, has come as a tsunami of earnings at the box office, the condition of ‘Khel Khel Mein’ and ‘Veda’ released with it is bad. Both these films have proved to be ineffective in the first weekend. While Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao’s film has earned a bumper Rs 191.45 crore in the country in the first weekend of four days, Akshay Kumar and John Abraham’s film together has done a business of only Rs 28.05 crore. Both the films have proved to be disasters. The situation is such that despite the holiday on Sunday, their condition has remained bad. Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘Stree 2’ has again rocked the box office on the fourth day of its release. It has earned a bumper Rs 55.90 crore on Sunday, more than the opening day. In its first weekend, it has collected a net of Rs 191.45 crore in the country and a worldwide gross of Rs 273 crore. But there are no signs of relief for both its rival films ‘Veda’ and ‘Khel Khel Mein’.
‘Khel Khel Mein’ earned only Rs 14 crore in four days
According to the report of sacnilk, Mudassar Aziz’s ‘Khel Khel Mein’ has made a net collection of Rs 3.85 crore on Sunday. The total collection of the film is Rs 14.05 crore in four days. This figure of earning is very slow. The film had earned Rs 5.05 crore on the opening day. It would have been better if the film had earned at least this much on Sunday, if not more. But this did not happen. Except Delhi-NCR and East Punjab, the condition of ‘Khel Khel Mein’ is bad in every other circuit.
Worldwide collection of ‘Khel Khel Mein’
‘Khel Khel Mein’ has become another consecutive disaster in Akshay Kumar’s career. The budget of the film is around Rs 100 crore. While it has also made a gross collection of Rs 23.90 crore worldwide in four days. There is a partial holiday on Monday on account of Raksha Bandhan, but given the current situation, only a miracle can save ‘Khel Khel Mein’ and ‘Veda’ from sinking.
‘Veda’s condition is also like ‘Khel Khel Mein’
On the other hand, just like ‘Khel Khel Mein’, John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh’s ‘Veda’ is also very dull. Though it started better than Akshay’s multi-starrer, it kept lagging everywhere except in some parts of eastern India. ‘Veda’ has collected Rs 3.20 crore nett on Sunday. The total collection of the film in the country is Rs 14 crore. While worldwide it has grossed Rs 19.00 crore. The budget of this film is Rs 50 crore.
