The boy band *NSYNC was quiet for more than 20 years. But now something is happening. Just a few days ago, the band caused a sensation at the MTV Video Music Awards. Now a new track follows.
Timberlake and his *NSYNC colleagues Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and JC Chasez caused a sensation at the MTV Video Music Awards on Wednesday night. They presented the trophy in the “Pop Song” category to winner Taylor Swift. She was visibly touched and came out as a big fan of the band. But there was no sample of the old *NSYNC hits like “I Want You Back”, “Gone” or “Bye, Bye, Bye”. The group disbanded in 2002 and has not recorded any more music until now.
However, the cult band’s appearance at the awards ceremony fueled rumors about the musicians’ possible return to the record studio. But nothing more than the song “Better Place” can be expected. Universal told NBC’s “Today Show” that this was the only new song by the five musicians for the Trolls film. The original film about the musical trolls with their colorful hair and big eyes grossed around $340 million worldwide in 2016.
