Boys C finished 2nd in the Champions League

Last Saturday was the last official tournament for 2021/22. Team C boys competed in the Champions League after winning the Central District 2 championship during the regular season. In the tournament itself all the champions from all the provinces participated in order to crown the team that will be the champions champion.

The Yellows were drawn at home together with the teams: Hapoel Raanana, Maccabi Petah Tikva and Betar Tel Aviv Bat Yam. The second house included the teams: Maccabi Netanya, Maccabi Kabilio Jaffa, Ohel Tamra and Hapoel Hadera.

Group C boys started the day with a 0: 3 victory over Hapoel Raanana. Later in the following game, the Yellows also defeated Maccabi Petah Tikva 0: 3. In the last game, Maccabi defeated Betar Tel Aviv Bat Yam 0: 7, thus securing a place in the Champions League final.

In the final game, Idan Harari’s trainees met Maccabi Netanya. The Yellows led 0: 1 throughout most of the game but in the final minutes Netanya managed to equalize and the final went to a penalty shootout. At the end of the duel, Maccabi surrendered to the team from Netanya, thus finishing in 2nd place in the tournament.
