Bper’s profit rises to 724 million, plan on October 10 – Italy-World

(ANSA) – MILAN, 07 AUG – Bper closed the first half of the year with a net profit of 724.2 million euros, up 2.8% on the same period of 2023, and revenues up 4.1% to 2.76 billion, with ‘core’ revenues up 7% to 2.7 billion. During the half-year, a note states, “an important creation of value for shareholders” was achieved, equal to earnings per share of 0.512 euros. In light of the results, the bank believes it is well on its way “towards achieving its year-end ambitions”. “The activity of the half-year confirms the commitment of all colleagues aimed at continuous and constant generation of value. All divisions have contributed, both in terms of revenues and thanks to rigorous discipline on costs”, declared the CEO of Bper, Gianni Franco Papa. “The credit risk indicators – he continued – continue to remain at low levels. The bank’s capital position and liquidity levels remain solid, thanks also to the continuous generation of capital, allowing us to confidently manage a macroeconomic scenario characterized by great uncertainty”. Bper also announced that it will present the new industrial plan in Milan on October 10. It will be “a growth-oriented plan that will allow us to continue to create value for all our stakeholders”, says Papa. (ANSA).
