Jimmy stated that TOTK is an environmentally friendly activity that involves local communities in 12 villages along the running route as marshalls, providers of food, drinks and cleaning workers. There are four categories provided, namely fun run 5K and 10K, trail run 27K and 50K. “We see a positive impact on the area around Lake Toba, the community is also empowered,” he added.
According to him, UMTB is a world cross-country running competition with distances of 27K and 50K. The 5K and 10K fun run categories are an effort to attract the attention of beginner and recreational runners.
“Even though it is not easy, our target is to make this cross-country running competition part of the UMTB world series event,” he said.
The joy of being able to participate in TOTK Zero Edition was voiced by one of the participants, Hendra Lim.
