BRAC Bank tops weekly trading on DSE

BRAC Bank Plc, a listed company in the banking sector, topped the transactions between companies and mutual funds in the country’s main capital market Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) in the outgoing week (September 1 to 5).

This information was revealed on the basis of DSE’s weekly market review on Saturday (September 7).

According to the data, during the week, the company’s shares traded on an average of Rs 41.45 crore per day, which was 5.19 per cent of the total traded on DSE. As a result, the company is at the top of the transaction.

British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company Ltd., which was second in the transaction list, saw an average of Tk 34.5 million worth of shares, which was 4.32 percent of DSE’s turnover.

Olympique Industries Limited, ranked third, saw an average share turnover of Tk 33.48 crore, which was 4.19 per cent of the DSE’s turnover.

Among the other companies in the transaction list – MJL Bangladesh Tk 26 crore 52 lakh, Linde Bangladesh Tk 24 crore 50 lakh, Grameenphone Tk 20 crore 92 lakh, Ibn Sina Pharma Tk 14 crore 74 lakh, Lavello Ice Cream Tk 13 crore 73 lakh, Midland Bank Tk 13 crore 64 lakh crore and 13 crore 66 lakh shares of IFIS Bank PLC were traded.
