On January 29, the company announced that it had implanted its first brain chip in a human, nine months after the Food and Drug Administration gave the green light to begin human trials. Just a week ago Neuralink received approval to launch the first trial of its brain implants in Canada.
The trial was opened to people with tetraplegia caused by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or cervical spinal cord injury.
