Rhine-Ruhr, Germany, played host to the 2025 Summer World University Games from July 16th to 27th and Brazil’s delegation of 121 athletes returned home with a total of 12 medals. The Brazilian team secured a 23rd-place finish in the overall medal count, marking a significant showing for the nation at this international multi-sport event.

The 2025 FISU Summer World University Games, officially known as Rhine-Ruhr 2025, brought together athletes from 113 nations, with a total of 6,233 competitors participating in 234 events across 18 different sports. The event, held across five cities in the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region and Berlin, represented a return to the traditional two-year cycle for the Games after postponements related to the COVID-19 pandemic impacted previous editions.
