These nutrient-rich grains are mainly used in animal feed to increase protein and energy intake, according to a joint statement from the Brazilian Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Agriculture.

In 2023, Morocco ranked fourth among the main recipients of Brazilian agricultural exports to Africa, with trade totaling $1.23 billion. That same year, bilateral trade between the two countries reached $2.65 billion, the statement recalled.

Among the main products exported by Brazil to Morocco are sugar, wheat, pepper, soybean oil and beef. On the other hand, the main imports from Morocco are fertilizers, according to data from the Ministry of Development, Industry, Foreign Trade and Services.

At the end of last August, the value of Brazilian exports to Morocco amounted to 755 million dollars, mainly due to sales of sugar and wheat, while imports, mainly of fertilizers, totaled 981 million dollars.

This new authorization represents a significant step forward for the Brazilian agribusiness, which records its 106th market opening in 2024, bringing to 184 the total number of new outlets in 58 countries since 2023, the press release concludes.
