Brazilian counterpart met with Naval Chief to discuss promotion of bilateral naval cooperation

(Ahmed Mansoor) The Chief of Staff of the Brazilian Navy met the Chief of Naval Staff of Pakistan and discussed issues of mutual interest and promotion of bilateral naval cooperation.

According to the Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Staff of the Brazilian Navy, Admiral Andre Luis Silva Lima de Santana Mendes, visited the Naval Headquarters Islamabad. welcomed the guest, the armed forces of Pakistan Navy presented the guard of honor to the distinguished guest, the guest laid wreath on the martyrs’ memorial, later he was introduced to the Principal Staff Officers of the Naval Headquarters.

According to ISPR, the Naval Chief highlighted the steps taken by Pakistan Navy to ensure maritime security in the region through Regional Maritime Security Patrols, and briefed the guests about the responsibilities and capabilities of Pakistan Navy. The Chief of Staff of the Brazilian Navy appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Navy regarding maritime security in the region.

ISPR says that the visit of Admiral Andre Luis Silva Lima de Santana Mendes will further expand the bilateral relations between the two countries, especially the naval forces.
