The religious work of a Brazilian pastor in the African continent. Last week, pastor Francisco Antônio Chagas Barbosa was shot dead in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. Later, his body was charred inside a car.
Born in Varjota (CE), the Brazilian pastor has been living in Kenya since 2017, a country located in the region known as the “horn of Africa”. He leaves a wife and a child.

When talking about the crime, Pastor Franciene, the pastor’s widow, stated that he was targeted by two men, who shot him inside the car.
“He leaves a unique legacy in missions,” said Franciene. “His work reached children, widows, people who struggled with hunger and thirst. There are countless seeds left, bibles distributed and lives that were saved by the Lord because of their dedication to the work.”

According to the religious institution, the Brazilian left last Wednesday afternoon to go to the supermarket, but did not return home. According to the organization, his car was seen driving through the streets and avenues of Nairobi hours later, only being driven by “young Kenyans”.
