The 28-year-old Brazilian striker, Willy Barbosa, agreed today (Thursday) on a contract for a season and a half at Hapoel KS through his agent Shachar Greenberg, when the club has an option for another season. The new acquisition is expected to land in Israel next week and undergo medical tests Officially in the group.
Barbosa has played for the Bolivian team De Strongs for the past two years, during which he played 49 games in all competitions in which he scored 25 goals. He also played in the Libertadores Cup where he made 8 appearances and scored a pair of goals.
The Brazilian grew up in the academy of the Brazilian Vitoria Group. Meanwhile, he has spent most of his career so far, in Brazil where he played in a number of clubs when the most senior of them were: Vasco da Gama, Atletico Guanaense.
