Brazil has been eliminated from the quarter-finals of the Copa America 2024 after losing to Uruguay. Once again the dream of ‘Selesao’ was broken. However, Brazil’s dream break in the last eight is not new. If you come back from the past to the present, you will see many examples of broken dreams in the quarter. In 2010, Brazil lost to the Netherlands in the quarter-finals of the tournament in South Africa. In the 2018 tournament, they lost 2-1 to Belgium in the quarterfinals. Croatia gave them a nightmare in the last eight in 2022. Neymar lost 4-2 in the tiebreaker.
