Rim Hazan, secretary of the Hadash branch in Haifa, says that the confiscation of the flags convinced the undecided to come to the march today. In her opinion, the combination between the resistance to the occupation and the struggle for democracy and equality is necessary: ”There will be no real democracy as long as there is an occupation. The money flowing to the settlements comes from your pocket and mine.”
