The actor ofBreaking Bad», Giancarlo Esposito admitted that before the success of the series, he considered suicide.

The actor spoke on SiriusXM’s “Jim and Sam Show” podcast and explained that he was once in a very bad financial situation.

So he was looking for a plan to kill himself so that his family could get the money from his life insurance payout. “That’s how low I was”said the 65-year-old.

Then add: “I was looking for an outlet in my brain. “Hey, do you get life insurance if someone kills themselves? Does the family get any money?”, I would ask and my wife had no idea why I was saying these things. I started thinking.”

As he explained later, because he didn’t know if such a thing was possible, he went so far as to organize a plan to kill him. So he thought that if he had someone kill him in a very bad way, then his wife and four children would get the compensation.

“I wanted them to have a life. I was in a very difficult situation then. I was literally thinking of killing myself so that my family could survive.”explained.

He further emphasized: “That was my first idea, but I wasn’t happy, because I wouldn’t be here available and present for all of them.”

However, he changed his mind after realizing how much this could hurt them mentally. “I began to think that this is not feasible, because of the pain I would cause them and it would be lifelong and a lifelong trauma, which will just be passed on to my children, even when I’m gone,” he reported.

As he explained in closing, he stopped making scripts in his head when he joined the series “Breaking Bad”, which was so successful that it changed his entire life.
